Trevin Peterson is the type of dude who’ll sit on a podcast in Utah and casually mention his brother-in-law makes $25–30k a month reviewing Amazon products from a phone.
Then he’ll sell you a Chrome extension so you can try it too.
Family video mill. FBA roots. A SaaS called Viral Vue. And a Koerner episode titled like a scratch-off ticket: He Makes $25K a Month With Just His Phone.
Meanwhile I can barely film a birthday wish without looking like I’m being held against my will at a Chili’s. My “content strategy” is a Notes app graveyard and a ring light I used twice.
Keep reading for my Viral Vue review.
Okay. Mixing those three layers is how people buy the wrong thing with confidence.
Let’s rewind.
Who even is Trevin Peterson?
Lehi / Riverton, Utah. Chrome Web Store even lists a real address: 14852 S Heritagecrest Way, Unit D, Riverton, UT 84065. Viral Vue LLC. He’s Co-Founder & CEO from July 2023. Brother Kade Peterson co-built the tool and the education brand. Sisters, in-laws, parents also filming Amazon videos. It’s a family affair. Like a Hallmark movie if Hallmark was about ASIN research and Creator Connections.
Path, from the interviews: side hustles → MLMs / dropshipping / affiliates → Amazon FBA private label (~10 years selling on Amazon by the Koerner sit-down) → discovered the Amazon Influencer Program late 2022 because videos started showing up on his own listings → family starts a video mill → they get sick of the spreadsheet hell → they productize the workflow → Viral Vue.
Prior brand: AMZ Champions (FBA education since ~Jan 2019), expanded into Reviewer Champions (Amazon Influencer + TikTok Shop education). YouTube @trevinpeterson sits around ~158k subs on third-party trackers as of mid-2026. X: @trevinofficial.
No “Amazon certified trainer” plaque. Credibility is seller + creator operator story + a Chrome extension people actually install. He frames Viral Vue as “Jungle Scout for influencers.” Cute. Also the kind of line that makes you forget Amazon can move the video carousel down the page whenever it wants.
But anyways. You’re here because a podcast told you $25k with a phone, and now Google is serving you three different checkouts.

Layer 1: Amazon’s free program (not Trevin’s product)
Amazon Influencer Program is free. Approved social + content rules → storefront + onsite videos + a path into Creator Connections. Official door: affiliate-program.amazon.com/influencers.
Money math, as Trevin tells it on Koerner: standard Associates commissions in a rough 0.5%–3% neighborhood (third-party guides cite 1%–10% by category). Creator Connections boosted rates: he talks 10–50%. First 3 videos go through review for product-page placement. Bronze / Creator Connections access: he says ~20–30 decent videos unlocks it.
That’s the actual engine. Not “phone reviews = ATM.” Volume. Placement. Brand campaigns. Amazon policy luck. Late 2024 they shoved influencer videos further down PDPs. Inspire shut down Feb 2025. Standard rates got slashed. Trevin himself says Creator Connections campaigns then exploded toward ~800k. Survivors adapt. Tourists quit. The tool cannot repeal a platform diet.
Got it? Good. Because Viral Vue does not approve you for AIP. It does not film for you. It does not print commissions while you nap.
Layer 2: Viral Vue, the actual SaaS
Chrome extension + web app. Research products, spy competition beyond the six visible carousel slots, automate Creator Connections / brand outreach, track profits. TikTok Shop–adjacent stuff still marked BETA in places. Founded 2023. Niche Pursuits write-up of a podcast: bootstrapped, “became profitable in May 2025.” Self-reported. Fine. Not a 10-K.
Live pricing, Aug 12, 2026 fetch:
- Free — $0/mo forever. Overlay, Viral Score, carousel detection, brand deal tracker, community, storefront optimizer. Positioned for people not even approved yet.
- Starter — $33/mo or $390/year. Product Vue, sales estimates, order history scanner, storefront scanner/spy, video downloader, TikTok ad code manager, etc.
- Professional (“Most Popular”) — $66/mo or $790/year. Creator Connection tools, Product/ASIN Findr, brand message automation, profits dashboard, media kits, deep links, Auto Research, VA mode.
Older affiliate guides still scream $39 / $79. Same annual $390 / $790. Use $33 / $66 as current public monthly and confirm at checkout, because affiliate blogs update on geologic time.
FAQ: no free trial because Forever Free exists. Cancel anytime, no contracts, Stripe. Refund as in “stop future charges” — I did not find a public day-count money-back promise on the pricing/help pages. Affiliate docs mention refunds exist (refunded signups don’t pay commission). That’s not “30 days no questions.” Read it.
Affiliate program: 25% recurring on Starter/Pro via FirstPromoter. Free plan does not pay. Which explains why the internet is 40 coupon codes in a trench coat.
| Layer | What | Public price (Aug 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon AIP | Platform program | Free (approval required) |
| Viral Vue Free | Overlay basics / forever free | $0 |
| Viral Vue Starter | Research, scanners, downloaders | $33/mo or $390/yr |
| Viral Vue Professional | Creator Connections automation, finders, profits, VA mode | $66/mo or $790/yr |
| Reviewer Champions | Education (approval, filming, scale) | $497 (+ $27 webinar funnels / Elite cohorts) |
SaaS FAQ: no classic free trial because Forever Free exists; cancel anytime / no contract theater. Course refund rules are picky — read before impulse-buying.
What Pro is really selling: less spreadsheet hell around ASINs. Total influencer video counts beyond Amazon’s visible six. Campaign filters. Brand message automation (default ~20 msgs/day, upgradable toward 100). Auto-accept matching Creator Connections campaigns for videos you already uploaded. That’s the “free money” time-saver people actually like in the practitioner writeups.
Viral Score is 1–100: sales, reviews, available slots, existing influencer videos, carousel presence. Order-history scanner = start with stuff you already bought. Cute. Also the only beginner advice that doesn’t require you to max a credit card “for content.”
Homepage marketing: insights from 30M+ products, 800,000+ Creator Connection campaigns, “Trusted by 17,000+ Creators,” “3x avg. commission increase,” “71 avg. brand deals landed,” “15 hours avg. time saved monthly.” Owned-site. Unaudited. Treat it like a gym before-and-after. Possible. Not your body.
Chrome Web Store signal is the part that isn’t vaporware: ~10,000 users, 4.5★ / 595 ratings in our Aug 2026 fetch, Featured, publisher “good record.” That’s real volume versus a Telegram tool with 11 reviews from people named “CryptoKing.” Occasional downtime / “sales estimates slightly off” shows up in affiliate-adjacent reviews. Fine. Software.
Layer 3: Reviewer Champions (the course)
Separate checkout. reviewerchampions.com / Teachable. Public order form: $497 “RC – Reviewer Champions.” Also a $27 “exclusive live training” tripwire. Elite / webinar funnel with partners (Reezy, Zab Twins, etc.) doing 2026 algorithm-fear cosplay. Application energy. Live price after the call is not on the $497 page.
Marketing copy leans “$100/day,” “$10,000 per month reviewing Amazon products,” “easiest money,” aggressive approval-rate language, student ROI “30–45 days.” That’s ease-of-money copy. Approval friction + 3 onsite videos + volume reality contradict “grandma films a blender and buys a boat.”
Inclusions: 50+ tutorials / 4+ hours, private FB group, lifetime access + updates, modules on approval / filming / monetization, and a dedicated Viral Vue tutorial module. Yes. The course upsells the tool. Of course it does.
Refund: 7 days, full refund only if you completed less than 10% of the program. Discounted / promo purchases often non-refundable. That’s not a refund. That’s a pop quiz with a receipt if you fail fast enough.
Geography FAQ blocks disagree US/CA vs US/CA/UK depending which page you catch. Sloppy. Note it. Don’t die on it.
The $25k claim, punctured
Episode title is host framing. Trevin’s own talk on Koerner skews closer to $10k+/mo AIP income at 4–5 hours/week. Self-reported. The $25–30k is a brother-in-law anecdote at ~700 videos. An acquaintance at ~$40k / ~1,100 videos. A friend at $27k / ~4,000 videos. Sister/BIL $15k/mo in 3 months. Idaho mom $12k/mo. Niche Pursuits: TikTok Affiliates best month nearly $40k. Family 10,000 videos.
Anecdotes. No screenshots in the transcript pack we had. Selection bias so thick you could spread it on a bagel.
Third-party explainers (Ways to Wealth, BizToolkit types) put a lot of serious creators at hundreds to low thousands a month until they have a fat video library and lean into Creator Connections. That is the boring sentence the title will not print.
Trevin also flags the ugly shortcuts himself: buy-and-return review farms, mis-tagging, health/baby claim videos. Amazon enforcement risk. At least he says the quiet part. Doesn’t make the quiet part a business model.
Trustpilot / BBB dedicated Viral Vue page: none prominent in this pass. No FTC action, no lawsuit hits. Reddit: no high-signal “Viral Vue scam” megathread indexed here. The negativity corpus is thin. The affiliate-review corpus is fat. Those two facts are related. Promo codes everywhere. Selection bias. Day-one 5-stars energy, just wearing a coupon.
Is it a scam?
Viral Vue looks like legit SaaS in a hyped niche. Reviewer Champions looks like standard mid-ticket AIP education with restrictive refund rules. Not a scam per se. The niche oversells. Homeboy’s podcast packaging oversells. The Chrome store is still a real product.
Who this is for (and who should bounce)
Viral Vue is for you if:
- You’re already approved (or about to be) and you post consistently
- $33–$66/mo is obvious ROI versus hours of manual Creator Connections hunting
- You wanna start on Forever Free and poke Viral Score before you pay
Not for you if:
- You heard “$25k/mo” and pictured a weekend of phone videos without volume, product strategy, or CC access
- You won’t be on camera (or POV/voiceover) or keep a public social profile for approval
- You’re buying Reviewer Champions expecting a broad refund after watching most of the course. You will not get that.
- You want an owned asset insulated from Amazon’s carousel mood swings. Keep scrolling.
Honest Unemployable compare
Trevin’s stack is Amazon onsite video affiliate labor: film product reviews, ride Amazon traffic, chase Creator Connections. Platform-commission work. Content volume. Policy risk included, complimentary, like a hotel waffle you will regret.
Unemployable is rank-and-rent / local SEO. Website landlord for local service businesses. Different skills. Different asset. If you like Koerner’s “asymmetric bet” vibe but the idea of filming hundreds of product videos makes your soul leave your body, local lead-gen is the calmer lane. It is not “Viral Vue but for plumbers.” Do not make me say that twice.
| Viral Vue / Amazon Influencer | Unemployable rank-and-rent | |
|---|---|---|
| Income | Commissions + brand deals on Amazon | Rent from local lead sites |
| Platform risk | Amazon policy, rates, PDP slots | Google + local market ops |
| Daily work | Film, upload, outreach | SEO + contractor relationships |
| Tooling cost | $0–$66/mo (+ optional $497 course) | Program ~$2,980 coaching framing |
| Best if… | You like phone content + Amazon | You want calmer B2B lead assets |
Verdict?
Viral Vue looks like a legit SaaS bet inside a grindy Amazon niche. Not a scam. Not a paycheck. Start Free or Starter if you’re already in AIP. Buy Pro when Creator Connections is the bottleneck, not when you still need Amazon to say yes to your TikTok. Treat Reviewer Champions as optional education with your eyes open on that 10% refund trap.
If phone-filming products forever sounds like purgatory, you’re shopping the wrong aisle. I’m good.
Q&A
Q: Is Viral Vue legit?
A: As a Chrome extension / SaaS? Yeah. Real company, real store listing, real paid plans, cancel-anytime Stripe language. “Legit” is not the same sentence as “you’ll make $25k.” One is software. The other is a podcast title.
Q: Is Viral Vue a scam?
A: I didn’t find FTC action or a lawsuit pile. Chrome publisher even has the “good record” stamp. What I found is income-porn packaging, unaudited homepage averages, and a course refund policy that wants you to fail the quiz. Suspect marketing in a hyped niche. Not “proven grift with a consent order.” Don’t flatten those.
Q: How much is Viral Vue?
A: Aug 2026 public: Free $0 / Starter $33/mo ($390/yr) / Professional $66/mo ($790/yr). Older blogs still say $39/$79. Confirm live. No classic free trial. Cancel anytime.
Q: Does Trevin really make $25k a month with just his phone?
A: That’s the episode title. His own on-air figure skews ~$10k+/mo at 4–5 hours/week. The $25–40k numbers are family/peer anecdotes with huge video counts. Self-reported. Unaudited. He doesn’t slide a 1099 across the table. What that actually means for you, nobody knows. Especially if you have 11 videos and a ring light from Amazon. Ironically.
Q: Do I need Reviewer Champions if I have Viral Vue?
A: No. AIP is free. Viral Vue has a free tier and tutorials. The $497 course is education + community + a Viral Vue module. Optional. Refund window is spicy (7 days, <10% completed, discounted purchases often non-refundable). Don’t impulse-buy it because a webinar yelled “algorithm.”
Q: Viral Vue vs Reviewer Champions vs Amazon Influencer Program — which one is the product?
A: AIP = Amazon’s free platform. Viral Vue = paid tool. Reviewer Champions = paid class. Mixing them is how you wire $497 for a Chrome overlay you could’ve tested at $0.
Q: Trevin Peterson net worth?
A: No reliable public figure. I will not invent one. I don’t even know what I spent on DoorDash last week. You think I’m reverse-engineering a Utah SaaS founder’s brokerage account from a Koerner B-roll shot? Please.
Q: Who shouldn’t bother?
A: Anyone who won’t film. Anyone who thinks a Viral Score replaces a camera. Anyone who needs Amazon approval hand-holding and also hates reading refund FAQs. Anyone who wants rent checks without product content. That’s a different religion.
Q: Okay but I still wanna make money online without becoming an Amazon video mill.
A: Wild concept: rank little local websites in Google and rent the leads to real businesses. No carousel slots. No “film 700 videos like Trevin’s BIL.” No 7-day refund obstacle course.
It’s about as sexy as folding a fitted sheet. Which is why filthy SEO goblins like me keep doing it anyway.
