Don’t you love it when you record a killer podcast episode, only to realize you didn’t actually “record” anything at all? That’s always fun.
Rather than dwell on my misfortune, I’ve got two great interviews for you this week instead. In fact, we’ve got a theme … it’s Natalie Week! That’s just like Shark Week, except with smart people named Natalie.
Of course, one of the “Natalies” spells her name Nathalie, so it doesn’t exactly work. But let’s not get bogged down in details here, otherwise I might remember that I LOST AN ENTIRE PODCAST EPISODE!
Ahem. Okay, on with this week’s Unemployable. 😉

Is Online Business Only for Those Who Teach Online Business?
The world of “online business” (also known as digital commerce), has become a major facet of all business, especially among entrepreneurs. So why does it seem that everyone you come across is “teaching” online business?
Why Freedom Beats Money and Status
Freedom is a primary theme of being Unemployable. Not everyone wants to “disrupt” and “dominate.” Rather, they want to do the things they want to do, and live the life they want to live.
Change Your Mind, Change the World
“It wasn’t my work habits or even bringing on more customers that had to change, it was my mindset.”
Write the Talk
“Write like you talk,” is the advice you hear, but there’s a bit more to it than that. This article is on a site called Copyblogger … not too shabby.
Phoning It In
Mast Mobile allows freelancers and side hustlers to add a “business line” to their mobile phones to keep work and personal stuff separate. You can even turn the work number off at the end of the business day (yeah, right).
Outsource Your Dream
“Gone are the days when Silicon Valley looked down on outsourcing their product development. Today, the same and very many newer startups are willingly outsourcing the complete product development or some parts of it.”
Every business is different, but when it comes to growth, similarities emerge as distinct stages. Knowing where you’re at, and more importantly, what’s ahead, can help you better anticipate and manage growing pains.
“Support teams—like any other teams—need leadership. They need direction, even if that direction is to give them complete freedom to act on their best judgment. And when it comes to direction, one of the most commonly discussed policies around support is empowerment.”
It’s already time to start thinking about
filing an extension doing your 2015 taxes. While I’m not sure these are all that “overlooked,” make sure you’re taking advantage of all standard small business deductions.
A more accurate headline would say that these new laws “might” affect your business, depending on, you know, your business. But please take a look to make sure you’re not failing to comply with any relevant regulation.
Please share Unemployable with a friend or colleague … thank you!
