Hello, Unemployable peeps 🙂
I’m Claire, and I’ll be filling in for Brian while he is gallivanting around Europe for the next couple of weeks. You can follow along with him on his Instagram account if you’d like.
I’m relatively fresh to the freelance scene (2 years in) and very much like you, I’m always learning ways to get better at this whole business thing. As I’m sure you know, the learning curve is epic, and if we skip steps or focus on the wrong things, we get stuck.
But lucky for us, people like Brian freely (and frequently) share their wisdom and knowledge across a ton of different mediums, and that inside access to their thinking is priceless.
Unemployable was the first podcast I ever subscribed to. I couldn’t get enough, and I’ve been an avid listener since.
Over the past two years, I’ve saved a bunch of fantastic episodes, so I decided I would share some of my favourites in the coming weeks. Even if you’ve heard them before, I find that listening to a great podcast again can uncover new nuggets of wisdom, lend a new perspective or help you spark some fresh ideas.
This week I am sharing Brian’s chat with Jenny Blake who is the author of Pivot: The Only Move That Matters Is Your Next One. Jenny dropped in during her book tour last September and shared some of her best tips for idea management – plus she shares her brilliant strategy for building a sustainable career you love.
I still struggle picking the right idea sometimes, and I love Jenny’s method for gaining clarity about what your next move can be and how you can move forward with it, confidently.
If you have no clue what to do next or where your focus should be, then listen in – you might learn a thing or two.
How to Find Your Next Big Thing with Jenny Blake
Enjoy this week’s resources, and let me know if you liked the episode!
Keep going –
