Ai Filmmaking Review: Jamie Heinrich’s $7 Skool, A $97 Sibling, And The $50-Soon Line

Jamie Heinrich, founder of Ai Filmmaking on Skool, official black-and-white headshot
Jamie Heinrich. Official Skool owner headshot from skool.com/@jamie-heinrich. Not the Voyage LA father-and-child photo. Not an AI face.

Jamie Heinrich already made a feature.

2010. I Like You. Eighty-two minutes. Reno teenagers coming of age. He directed and edited it. Joseph Whitmarsh wrote it. Ryan Baker shot it. Parker Peterson, Mike Benna, Brian Boush. 9000 Wolves Productions. Sold out the Regency Lido in Newport Beach. Filmmaker Magazine ran the trailer. OC Weekly wrote about the line.

That is a real movie with a real premiere. Then he moved to downtown Los Angeles, ran Heinrichfilm, and in August 2024 he opened a Skool called Ai Filmmaking and priced it like a coffee.

Seven dollars a month. “No Gatekeeping.” Lock in $7 for life, because the about page still says $50 is coming soon. Instagram version: thirty years fighting budgets and gatekeepers who decided what got made. AI made all of that irrelevant. “$7. Use it or don’t.”

That’s the pitch, in his mouth, before I start throwing receipts.

Struggling to create high-quality videos that grab attention, go viral, and make money? He’s spent 30 years in filmmaking. He’s cracked the code on cinematic, high-impact AI video without expensive production. Story and structure. The psychology of viral storytelling and audience retention. AI-powered sound design. Next-level AI visuals. Monetization and client work. An exclusive creator community with direct support from him and other filmmakers. Currently $7. Only $7 right now. The price will go up.

There’s a sibling room for $97 a month that says he scaled this one to over $100k a month in recurring. That’s his MRR. I am not in his Stripe.

I still lose the plot of a 22-minute sitcom if I check my phone. You think I’m directing a full-length AI feature from a $7 classroom?

Read on for my Jamie Heinrich / Ai Filmmaking review.

What you’re actually clicking: skool.com/filmmaking. Official sticker $7/mo. Created 2024-08-15. Official JSON 2026-08-15: 6,779 members, 15 courses / 97 modules, Skool rating 4.3 / 6. Discover: 6.7k. Historically $5. About page: lock in $7 for life / “$50 soon.” Sibling rooms: AI Film Marketing $97/mo (110 members; he claims $100k/mo MRR), Hiring Room $27/mo, Run By AI $27/mo, Human $9/mo. Premium tier in metadata; no public premium price. No community MBG. Skool default: no refunds. Not Ed Pauley. Not Leonardo Schwartz. Not AI Video Bootcamp. Not the LambEx farmer. IG: @skoolfilmmaking.

Who even is Jamie Heinrich?

There are at least two Jamie Heinrichs on LinkedIn, and only one of them wants you in a $7 Skool.

The other one chairs a sheep-industry taskforce in South Australia. LambEx. Kangaroo Island. Seventh-generation farmer. Wrong guy. If you typed “jamie heinrich” because of wool, close the tab.

Also not Ed Pauley’s AI Film Skool in the UK. Also not Leonardo Schwartz’s AI Film School. Also not Daniel Riley’s AI Video Bootcamp, which was sitting at 26.6k members and $9/mo on the same Discover page this pass. Also not IDALL. Also not Jami Heinricher, who owns a print shop in Olympia.

The one you’re actually stalking is the Los Angeles filmmaker. Heinrichfilm. I Like You. That’s this review.

Public name on the Skool: Jamie Heinrich. Owner object: jamie-heinrich. Profile location: Los Angeles. He joined Skool April 29, 2024. Crown. “Owned by Jamie.” Bio: helping creators turn AI videos into cash machines with viral content that converts. Official IG on the owner record: @skoolfilmmaking. No YouTube, LinkedIn, or Twitter links on that owner object this pass.

Nevada paperwork: Jamie W Heinrich, manager of HEINRICHFILM LLC. Domestic LLC, filed April 24, 2007. Status: Permanently Revoked. Registered agent listed as “JAIME HEINRICH,” 481 Roseben Court, Reno 89521. That is a revoked-entity scrape. It is not proof of the current Skool operating company. I am not his registered agent.

2010 coverage puts him in Reno. Voyage LA, October 21, 2019, puts him in downtown Los Angeles running an independent commercial production company “for the past 20 years.” Snowboard and skate films before 18, through the 90s. “Five feature films in the last few years” on “major platforms” plus “multiple festival awards.” That’s his 2019 self-report. LinkedIn (jamie-heinrich-757731176) says Film Producer at Heinrichfilm, January 1996 to present, “30 years and 4 months,” Los Angeles. Also self-reported. I did not sit in the edit bay.

IMDb has a Jamie Heinrich (II) for Veeco: A Volcom Film Making Documentary (2014, short, director). I Like You is not on that page this pass. Incomplete listing, not a denial. Cargo Collective (Heinrich Vision) has the feature, a Summer 17 reel, Don’t Edit Me, vignettes. Wordmark in the header. Not a face.

Voyage LA also printed a 2019 contact block: 1120 S. Grand #1313, heinrichfilm.com, a 949 number, jamieheinrich@mac.com, @heinrich.vision. 2019 listing. Not a 2026 HQ. Creative Principles, episode 687, January 30, 2026. Thirty-one minutes. Host copy: indie filmmaker known for I LIKE YOU, now teaching AI tools, affiliate join link attached. Topics listed: indie career, AI digital education, fear of being replaced, a full-length AI feature. Host bio. Not a transcript audit.

Pre-18 / 90s
Snowboard and skate films. Voyage LA 2019 self-report: before 18, continuing through the 90s. Then an independent commercial shop “for the past 20 years.”
1996–

2010

2014
Veeco short. IMDb Jamie Heinrich (II), director. I Like You is not on that page this pass.
2019
Downtown LA. Voyage LA interview. Five features / festival awards in his mouth. 1120 S. Grand contact block is 2019, not a 2026 HQ.
Apr 2024
Joins Skool. April 29. Crown. “Owned by Jamie.”
Aug 2024
Ai Filmmaking created. August 15, 2024. Official JSON createdAt.
2025
$5, then $7. Instagram sold a “$5 course,” then “my $7 course.” Premium tier shows up in metadata Oct 30.
Aug 2026
6,779 members. Still $7. Still “$50 soon.” 15 courses / 97 modules. Marketing sibling at $97 / 110 members.

The $7 room is not the $97 room

People mash these. Don’t.

Ai Filmmaking is the consumer community. skool.com/filmmaking. Private. $7/month. Card: “Master AI Viral Video Creation.” Subhead: Currently $7/mo. Master AI Filmmaking. The Formula to Retain & Convert Anyone! No Gatekeeping.

Official JSON, August 15, 2026: 6,779 members. 87 online. 3,592 posts. 3 admins. 15 courses. 97 modules. Review average 4.3 on 6 reviews. Display price 700 cents a month. Plan: pro. Discover card the same day: 6.7k, rank #7.

Standard-tier copy claims “World’s Largest AI Filmmaking Community.” Same Discover page listed AI Video Bootcamp at 26.6k. I am not repeating “world’s largest” as a fact. That’s a slogan wearing a crown.

Two membership tiers live in the metadata. Standard (activated May 22, 2026): community, foundational courses, project files. Premium (activated October 30, 2025): those three plus “every detailed course” and “Get Answers Live (calls/recordings).” Public sticker is $7. No public premium dollar amount this pass. Live calls are listed as a premium benefit, not as a confirmed $7 inclusion. Don’t invent a number so the table looks finished.

AI Film Marketing is the other door. skool.com/video. Fetched this pass: 110 members, $97/month. Pitch: scale “my other Skool community to over $100k/month” recurring via AI Film Ad marketing and retention. Work live with Jamie. His MRR claim. Not audited. Older index snapshots showed 212 members / $197/mo and a “first client within 90 days” line. Live fetch is $97 / 110. Cite the date. Don’t flatten.

Then three more rooms on official about pages this pass. AI Film Hiring Room at $27/mo (or $97/year, “$47 soon”), 84–85 members. Run By AI at $27/mo, 44 members, another “$47 soon.” Human at $9/mo, 24–25 members. “A grounded space… not optimized for growth.” “Why it’s $9? It filters.” That last one is not the filmmaking curriculum.

Got it? Good. Don’t pay $7 thinking you just bought the $97 operator room. Don’t pay $97 thinking you just bought a Udemy login with a refund button.

What he actually lists

The classroom URL is gated. Fetch this pass returned the same public sales copy, not a module list. I am not inventing lesson names from a third-party notes page that 503’d.

What official public pages actually list:

  1. Story & Structure Mastery: “psychology behind viral storytelling & audience retention.”
  2. AI-Powered Sound Design: “studio-quality audio using AI tools.”
  3. Next-Level AI Visuals: “best AI tools” for “cinematic animations & effects.”
  4. Monetization & Client Work: “sell your videos, attract clients, and build your brand.”
  5. Exclusive Creator Community: “direct support from me & other filmmakers.”

Plus the JSON: 15 courses, 97 modules. SkoolRadar said the same count the same day. That’s a count. It is not a syllabus I sat through.

film.theagenticlife.com had a search snippet about Stage 1 Script / Stage 2 Sound / Stage 3 Video and a $5 lifetime rate. The page 503’d this pass. Unofficial scrape. Do not treat it as the current official classroom.

The price is a clock

Seven dollars is on the porch. The $50 clock is what he keeps tapping.

Official about + Discover, fetched August 15, 2026: $7/month. “Lock in $7/month for life.” “Price goes up to $50/month soon.” Official JSON displayPrice.amount = 700 cents.

Instagram @skoolfilmmaking: a reel about 66 weeks before this pass sold a “$5 course.” A later reel (about 5 weeks, dated May 23 on the page we fetched) sold “my $7 course on AI filmmaking.”

Older cached profile HTML in search: $5/month, member counts 7.2k / 7.8k. Undated. Historical. Not live. SkoolRadar this pass: 7.1k. Aggregator, higher than live. Lead with 6,779.

The $50 hike has not been observed as live this pass. “Soon” is a word that lives on sales pages the way “new” lives on cereal boxes.

Refunds. No community-specific terms or MBG on the public about/classroom URLs this pass. Skool platform default, skool.com/legal: subscriptions auto-renew. No refunds for partial billing periods unless a promo says otherwise. Cancel via settings. Access through the end of the period. Creators may refund at their discretion. Cancel anytime, finish the month. That is not a hug. That is a calendar.

Surface What it says Vibe
Official about + Discover $7/month. Lock in $7 for life. $50 soon. Public
Instagram @skoolfilmmaking “$5 course” (~May 2025), then “$7 course” Historical
Older cached profiles $5/month, 7.2k / 7.8k members Not live
Premium tier Exists in metadata. Live calls listed. No public dollar amount this pass. Unpriced
AI Film Marketing Live $97/mo, 110 members. Older index: $197 / 212. Sibling
Hiring / Run By AI / Human $27, $27, $9. More “soon” clocks on the first two. Other rooms
Skool legal default No refunds for partial periods. Cancel, finish the month. Creator discretion. No MBG

Fetched August 15, 2026. Product: skool.com/filmmaking. Marketing sibling: skool.com/video. Terms: skool.com/legal.

The review pile, with the volume down

Skool native reviews, official JSON, August 15, 2026: 4.3 average, 6 reviews, hasMore: true, five returned in the about payload. Written August 12–14, 2026. Mostly 48-hour-old 5-stars. Do not treat 4.3/6 as a forensic audit.

Shawn Baker, 5 stars, August 14, member since July 26: “patient leader… best value on skool for ungated access…” Angela Welbaum, 1 star, August 14, member since August 13, 2025. Empty body. Still paying. Rudyard Moncayo, 5 stars, August 13: “one of my favorite communities…” Andrew Goulart, 5 stars, August 12. Empty body. Paying. Joey Medina, 5 stars, August 12: “member since before Jamie hit 100 members… original AI Skool community.” His claim. His join date in the JSON is April 3, 2025. Group created August 15, 2024. Possible. Still his sentence.

The 1-star has no text. I cannot review a blank.

YouTube: Digital Dollar Detective, “AI Filmmaking Review – Is Jamie Heinrich’s Skool Community Worth $7/Month?” $7/mo ongoing community, not premium coaching. Idea to finished video. Prompting, editing, character consistency. Kling / Runway / Midjourney / ChatGPT still cost extra. Showcase videos are not one-click. Biggest strength is value for money. Then the description pivots to “my top recommended program.” Affiliate pattern. Same family as other “Detective” reviews. Not a student diary.

LinkedIn: Alex Stoy, June 30, 2026. Beginners creating videos fast, still need storytelling and prompts, links a “full review.” Affiliate-adjacent. Not independent fieldwork.

Martin Schröder, Substack, November 18, 2025: made a “Cursor Control” video in two afternoons after Jamie’s group. “He knows filmmaking.” AI removes the filming/VO grind, you still write and edit. One member’s blog. Not audited results.

The Directory On Skool: “in Jamie Heinrich’s AI Filmmaking community for over a year,” business shifted away from video, never dove into everything, praises Jamie’s own videos. Directory promo. Not a deep-use review.

Reddit: site search for Jamie Heinrich / skool.com/filmmaking / “Ai Filmmaking” Skool. No results this pass. I am not inventing usernames so the article has a comment dungeon.

Trustpilot: no listing this pass. BBB: no listing this pass. Lawsuits / FTC: no hits tying this Jamie Heinrich or Ai Filmmaking to a suit. Do not recycle Jamie White or Senator Martin Heinrich. Don’t invent a courtroom so this feels like a Netflix category about prompts.

Who this is for (and who should skip)

This is for you if:

  • You already wanted to mess with AI video and $7 is coffee money you can lose without calling your mom
  • You understand Kling / Runway / Midjourney still bill you on the side
  • You can live with a gated classroom, five public bullets, and a “$50 soon” clock that has not gone off
  • You wanted a cheap room with a real filmmaker’s name on it, not a $6,000 girlboss Zoom

Skip if:

  • You thought this was Ed Pauley, Leonardo Schwartz, AI Video Bootcamp, or the sheep guy. Wrong kitchen.
  • You need a 30-day MBG. Skool default is no. Cancel, finish the month.
  • You thought “no gatekeeping” meant the $97 marketing room and the live calls were inside the $7 sticker
  • You wanted a published module list and a refund button. Classroom is private. The refund is a ghost story they printed into the platform terms on purpose.

Verdict?

Jamie Heinrich is a real LA filmmaker with a real 2010 feature and a real $7 Skool that got to 6,779 members in two years. The 30-year line is self-reported. The $100k/mo MRR is a pitch on a $97 sibling. “No gatekeeping” is a tagline next to a premium tier that does not publish a price. The $50-soon clock is still ticking on the about page in August 2026. The review pile is six on-platform stars, mostly new, plus one empty 1-star. The YouTube “review” wants to sell you something else.

Not a scam per se. Not a film school with a dean. Useful if $7 is a toy you already wanted and you can read a sibling menu. Expensive theater if you thought seven dollars bought the whole ladder and a refund.

I’m good.

Q&A

Q: Is Jamie Heinrich legit?
A: Real person. Real Reno-to-LA pipeline. Real 2010 feature. Real Skool at skool.com/filmmaking. Real official headshot. The 30-year and $100k/mo-MRR talk is self-reported. Legit filmmaker. Spicy brochure. Those can both be true.

Q: Wait, the sheep farmer?
A: Different human. South Australia. LambEx Taskforce. Kangaroo Island. If your search history is wool, you have wandered into an AI-video review like a tourist who followed the wrong Uber.

Q: Ed Pauley’s AI Film Skool?
A: Different product. UK. Former Film & TV art director. skool.com/aifilmskool. About 13–22 members, also $7/mo. Same price, different face, tiny room.

Q: Leonardo Schwartz / AI Film School?
A: Also not this. Flawlessly Human. skool.com/ai-film-school-9495. About 4 members, $27/mo founding. Copy said $47 after June 30. Do not mash the names because they both contain “AI” and “film.”

Q: AI Video Bootcamp? IDALL?
A: Daniel Riley’s Bootcamp was Discover Trending #1 this pass: 26.6k / $9/mo. IDALL AI (Darren Maen) was #29: 2.6k / $9/mo. Different products. The Bootcamp is the one that makes “world’s largest” a slogan, not a census.

Q: Is Ai Filmmaking a scam?
A: I didn’t find a regulator hammer, a Trustpilot pile, a BBB file, or a Reddit thread. I found a $7 sticker, a “$50 soon” clock, a gated classroom, a no-refund platform default, and a $97 sibling that claims $100k/mo MRR. “Cheap Skool with a real film credit / brochure on the upsells” is a different zip code than “fake company.” Don’t flatten those.

Q: How much does Ai Filmmaking cost?
A: Official public sticker: $7/month. Historically $5. About page still says lock in $7 for life before $50. Premium tier exists in metadata with no public price this pass. Confirm the cart you actually see. Then screenshot it, because this number already moved once.

Q: What’s the $50-soon line?
A: Marketing. Repeated on the official about page: “Price goes up to $50/month soon! Lock in $7/month for life.” It has not been observed as the live rate this pass. “Soon” is doing a lot of work for a group that opened in August 2024 and is still $7 in August 2026.

Q: What’s the $97 room?
A: AI Film Marketing at skool.com/video. 110 members this pass. Pitch: he scaled the $7 community to over $100k/month recurring with AI film ads and retention. His claim. Older snapshots said $197 and 212 members. Live fetch is $97 / 110. That is the operator room, not the $7 curriculum.

Q: Hiring Room, Run By AI, Human?
A: His other rooms. Hiring: $27/mo or $97/year, 84–85 members, “$47 soon.” Run By AI: $27/mo, 44 members, another $47 clock. Human: $9/mo, 24–25 members, a “grounded space” that “filters.” None of those are the $7 classroom.

Q: Do I get live calls at $7?
A: Live calls/recordings are listed as a premium benefit in the metadata. Standard lists community, foundational courses, and project files. I do not have a public premium price. Do not assume the $7 sticker includes the calls.

Q: Refund?
A: No community-specific MBG found. Skool default: no refunds for partial billing periods. Cancel anytime, keep access through the paid month. Ask the admin if you want a favor. Favors are not a policy.

Q: What’s in the classroom?
A: Official public list is five about-page bullets: story/structure, AI sound, AI visuals, monetization/clients, community. JSON: 15 courses, 97 modules. Classroom is gated. I am not inventing module titles from a 503’d notes page or a YouTube paraphrase.

Q: How many members?
A: Official JSON August 15, 2026: 6,779. Discover card: 6.7k. SkoolRadar said 7.1k the same day. Older caches said 7.2k / 7.8k at $5. Lead with 6,779. Created August 15, 2024. Not “years of AI-film-school history.”

Q: World’s largest AI filmmaking community?
A: That’s standard-tier benefit copy. Same-day Discover had AI Video Bootcamp at 26.6k. File “world’s largest” next to the vision board.

Q: What do the Skool reviews say?
A: 4.3 from 6 reviews, five of them in the payload, mostly written in a 48-hour window in mid-August 2026. Four 5-stars (two of those empty). One empty 1-star, still paying. Joey says he was there before 100 members. His join date is April 2025. Cute. Not a census.

Q: What does Digital Dollar Detective say?
A: This video. $7 is low-risk versus pricier AI rooms. Tools still cost extra. Practice still required. Then the description pivots to “my top recommended program.” Affiliate-shaped. Not a student diary. Alex Stoy’s LinkedIn post is the same family.

Q: Reddit? Trustpilot? BBB?
A: Nothing this pass. Same as my will to live most days. Absence is not a halo. It is also not a secret 1-star I forgot to invent.

Q: Is I Like You a real movie?
A: Yes. 2010. 82 minutes. US. Directed/edited by Jamie Heinrich. Filmmaker Magazine trailer watch, November 27, 2010. OC Weekly on the sold-out Lido premiere. AllMovie listing. That credit is the one thing in this file that does not need a “he says” sticker.

Q: Did he really do 30 years?
A: LinkedIn starts Heinrichfilm at January 1996. Voyage LA 2019 says 20 years of commercial work plus skate/snowboard films from before 18. The Skool pitch says 30 years. That’s a stack of self-reports. I still lose the HDMI cable I bought last year. You think I’m opening his residual statements?

Q: $100k/mo MRR. Real?
A: That’s the AI Film Marketing about-page claim about “my other Skool community.” 6,779 × $7 is about $47k if every member is on the $7 sticker and nobody is on a free or premium plan I cannot see. I did not audit the mix. Treat $100k like a movie title.

Q: HEINRICHFILM LLC?
A: Nevada domestic LLC, filed 2007, permanently revoked. Manager: Jamie W Heinrich. Registered agent spelling: JAIME. Third-party registry scrape. Not a 2026 operating-entity receipt for the Skool.

Q: Who should not buy this?
A: Anyone who needs a refund policy, a published premium price, or a public syllabus. Anyone who thought “no gatekeeping” meant the $97 room was complimentary. Anyone who landed here because of a sheep conference or a different AI film school. If $7 is a stretch, the sibling menu will feel like a sequel you didn’t ask for.

Q: Okay but I still wanna make money online without locking in $7 for life because a clock said $50 soon.
A: Wild concept: build little local websites, rank them in Google, and rent the leads to real businesses. No “cracked the code.” No “lock in for life.” No $97 sibling that teaches you how the $7 room prints.

It’s about as sexy as organizing the junk drawer… which is why filthy SEO goblins like me keep doing it.

If that quieter path sounds less insane than paying a filmmaker seven dollars to teach you Kling, start at unemployable.org.
